For years, Paolo and Biz ran in overlapping circles, their paths crossing time and again. But it wasn't until they found themselves working together at Dubsado that a real friendship finally sparked. Biz, smitten but tired of waiting for Paolo to make a move, took matters into her own hands by inviting him to a thrift market one weekend. In her mind, it was their first date - though Paolo's decision to pass on grabbing food afterwards had her briefly wondering if she'd misread the signals. As it turned out, he simply wasn't hungry.

Not long after, Paolo asked Biz out to dinner and a movie. Her choice of restaurant didn't go over too smoothly, being a vegan spot despite Paolo's nut allergy. But rather than dwell on the hiccup, the two realized just how much they clicked. From then on, they were inseparable, attending sporting events, concerts, you name it - together. Before long, they'd moved in, adopted a pup, inherited another, and their little family was complete.

On their 6th anniversary, Paolo swept Biz off to their favorite sushi restaurant before bringing her to the spot where they'd shared their first kiss. Paolo said he wished they had an anniversary to celebrate and Biz said, “this is our anniversary!” He clarified that he wished it was a wedding anniversary. Biz replied, "One day!" only for Paolo to get down on one knee and declare, "How about sooner than later?"

The two lovebirds knew they wanted to keep things intimate, so on August 8th, they made it official at the Santa Barbara courthouse. Surrounded by just their parents, Paolo's siblings, as well as Paolo’s childhood best friend officiating and Biz's lifelong best friend as their witness. They can't wait to celebrate this next chapter of their love story with all of you in September!
